Andrew Heidt, President of Dane County Professionals, AFSCME 1871 requested that Attorney General Eric Holder investigate Governor Walker for violations of the Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO). This request was sent on March 6 by certified mail to the Attorney General and the U.S. Attorney for South Central Wisconsin.
Heidt identified four key areas for investigation:
-Former Senator Jeff Plale’s appointment to a State job for his vote against State Labor contacts
-Collusion with third party entities to fund independent expenditures for political information related to his agenda
-Possible hiring of “thugs” or argent provocateurs to instigate crowd violence
-Collusion and steering of the potential sale of State owned power plants to Koch Industries as suggested in SB 11.
This pattern of misuse of power, seeming corruption, continued lies and illegality merits external investigation to determine if laws have been broken and if so, legal consequences applied. The unprecedented events of last night only serve to highlight the concerns listed above.
